Choi Si-won, Kang So-ra confirmed as leads in ‘Revolutionary Love’

Super Junior’s Choi Si-won and Kang So-ra have been confirmed on August 19 to headline the latest tvN drama from Oh Hae Young Again PD titled Revolutionary Love. The upcoming romantic comedy is slated to be broadcast in October and will tell the story of a wealthy man and an ordinary woman whose lives become entangled when he begins living in a studio apartment in the countryside.

Choi Si-won (She Was Pretty), who completed his 21-month military service on August 18, will be playing a third-generation chaebol named Byun Hyuk. He hides his identity as he resides in a small village far from his family’s home. As someone who fully believes in the power of love, he easily sees the good in people. His life will be changed for the better when he meets Baek Joon, played by Kang So-ra (Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul-ho). Although a college graduate, she finds it hard to get a permanent job, so she has several part-time jobs to support herself and lives in the same humble apartment as Byun Hyuk.

An earlier report on Revolutionary Love says that the series will depict the love and friendship of three characters—Byun Hyuk, Baek Joon, and Je Hoon. No casting updates have been released yet regarding the actor tapped to play Je Hoon, a smart and skillful character who dreams to become rich. The drama will be directed by PD Song Hyun-wook who is best known for his work in the 2016 hit rom-com Oh Hae Young Again and penned by Ms. Temper and Nam Jung-gi writer Joo Hyun.
