Choi Ri to join Uhm Ji-won, Park Ha-sun, Jang Hye-jin in new drama ‘Postnatal Care Center’

Up-and-coming actress Choi Ri is confirmed to star in new tvN comedy series Postnatal Care Center, joining previously announced cast members Uhm Ji-won, Park Ha-sun, and Jang Hye-jin.

Postnatal Care Center will tell the story of older women from different walks of life who meet each other while adjusting to childbirth and receiving services at a postpartum care center.

Uhm Ji-won will take the role of new mother Oh Hyun-jin, the oldest patient in the care center while Park Ha-sun will play the role of Jo Eun-jung, a mother who the other patients look up to. Also in the cast is Jang Hye-jin, who will portray the character Choi Hye-sook, the director of the postnatal care center.

Choi Ri will play the 22-year-old CEO of a lingerie mall who will be drawing the attention of the mothers with her fashion style and youthful mien.

Choi Ri made her official acting debut in the internationally-acclaimed tvN fantasy drama Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016–2017) as Park Kyung-mi, the rude cousin of Ji Eun-tak (Kim Go-eun).

Since then, she has appeared in various dramas such as Blow Breeze (2016–2017), Witch at Court (2017), Welcome to Waikiki (2018), Come and Hug Me (2018), and Melting Me Softly (2019). Her most recent lead project is the two-season Netflix original series My First First Love (2019).

Postnatal Care Center will be helmed and penned by director Park Soo-won of Big Forest (2018) and screenwriter Kim Ji-soo of In Still Green Days (2015), respectively. It is set to broadcast in the second half of 2020.
