Choi Hee-seo in talks along with Song Hye-kyo to star in ‘Now, We’re Breaking Up’

Actor Choi Hee-seo has been offered a role in the same drama proposed to Song Hye-kyo!

On February 23, Choi’s agency Saram Entertainment said that the actress has received an offer to appear in the drama Now, We’re Breaking Up and is positively reviewing the proposal. Details of the role have been kept under wraps.

Now, We’re Breaking Up will tell the story about a breakup between a man and a woman. Hallyu (Korean wave) star Song Hye-kyo (Encounter) has been offered the female lead role of Ha Young-eun, the design team leader at a fashion label. She is competent but cold-hearted and does not want to waste her time over romance. She dates men, but no one interests her enough to want to stay.

Choi Hee-seo has previously appeared in dramas like Entourage (2016), Mistress (2018), and Stranger 2 (2020). However, her film career is far more illustrious, with hits like Dongju: The Portrait (2016), Okja (2017), and most recently, Deliver Us from Evil (2020) in her profile.

Other production and casting details of Now, We’re Breaking Up are yet to be announced.

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
