CJENMMUSIC released the first part of the original soundtrack of Bride of the Water God about four hours before the first episode of the drama airs in Korea tonight. The song is titled the “The Reason Why” and sung by Yang Da-il.

The part 1 of the Bride of the Water God OST is 4 minutes and 8 seconds long and expected to be played in the first episode of Bride of the Water God, tvN’s fantasy romance drama about a woman named So-ah who finds out that she is destined to become the bride of Ha Baek (Water God). As of this writing, the video of the song was viewed 4,000 times on Youtube and received positive feedback from the viewers.

Bride of the Water God will air every Mondays and Tuesdays for 16 episodes starting tonight at 10:50 pm Korean Standard Time. The drama stars Shin Se-kyung (Six Flying Dragons) who plays the role of So-ah, a doctor struggling to pay a pile of debt left by his father and is the bride of Ha Baek, played by Nam Joo-hyuk (Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo). Rounding out the main cast is Im Ju-hwan (Uncontrollably Fond) who plays Ha Baek’s rival, Krystal Jung (My Lovely Girl) who takes on the role of a goddess who has been living on earth for centuries, and Gong Myung (Drinking Solo) who is playing a wind god.

The drama is based on a webcomic of the same name by Yoon Mi-kyung which was published from 2006 to 2014. It will run from July 3 to August 22 and will be replaced by Argon.
