B1A4’s Jinyoung is a hacker-turned-freshman in new stills from ‘Police University’

KBS2’s upcoming campus series Police University has dropped exciting new stills of lead actor Jung Jin-young.

Police University follows a professor with 20 years of experience in crimes detection and a computer hacker who ends up becoming a first-year university student as they team up to solve a mysterious case. It stars Cha Tae-hyun (Team Bulldog: Off-duty Investigation) as Professor Yoo Dong-man, Jung Jin-young (My First First Love 2) as hacker-turned-freshman Kang Seon-ho, and Krystal Jung (Search) as fellow first-year student Oh Kang-hee.

The freshly released stills from the series are a two-shot glimpse of Kang Seon-ho’s journey into the police university. One photo reveals his past life as a genius computer hacker, while the other presents him as the respectable police student that he is now. Among the several important developments, viewers can look forward to in the drama is how remarkably Jinyoung’s acting skills will carry out this crucial character transition.

The production team behind Police University shared, “Jinyoung has a special power of attracting people’s attention. In addition, he was able to portray Kang Seon-ho’s growth from an innocent to a tough young man by adding in elements that represent the youth of his generation. Please check out Seon-ho’s relatable story in Police University.”

Police University is spearheaded by director Yoo Kwan-mo and screenwriter Moon Min-jung. It was initially slated to air this July but the broadcast schedule has become unclear after filming for the series got suspended due to a confirmed COVID-19 case on set. Currently, the drama is waiting for the go signal to resume its production activities.
