Actor Ahn Bo-hyun is serving viewers intense looks in his new stills from Kairos.
The new MBC fantasy thriller drama follows Kim Seo-jin, a man whose perfect life crumbles down when his daughter gets kidnapped. Finding an opportunity to save his daughter, he contacts someone from the past, approximately one month before the incident. Han Ae-ri is busy with her studies and part-time jobs when her mother suddenly goes missing. Falling into despair, she receives a call from Seo-jin, who claims he is in the future. Now, they both race against the clock to defy time and save their loved ones. The series stars Shin Sung-rok (Vagabond) and Lee Se-young (Memorist) as Seo-jin and Ae-ri, respectively.
Ahn has signed up for the role of Seo Do-kyun, Seo-jin’s right-hand man at Yoojung Construction. Do-kyun looks up to Seo-jin’s tenacity and achievement as the youngest director in their company, as well as his detail-oriented approach to work while motivating his team to get the job done well.
The newly released stills show the neat and professional look of Do-kyun, with his business suit and smart aura. Another still shows him staring at something seriously, indicating that he means business. Meanwhile, his last character still shows his warm side, with his plain white shirt and genuine smile that can melt anyone’s heart.
As the series progresses, Do-kyun will be the first one to notice the cracks and missing details in Seo-jin’s project at work. His curiosity towards this will lead Do-kyun to cause unexpected conflict and affect his working relationship with his mentor.
Rising actor Ahn Bo-hyun has been in many popular series in the past, including Descendants of the Sun (2016) and Her Private Life (2019), but it was not until his villain role in this year’s Itaewon Class that he started gaining attention from the viewers for his impressive performance in the said series.
Kairos is set for broadcast on MBC beginning October 26 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
