JTBC’s Age of Youth 2 has continued to top the list of most buzzworthy Korean dramas. The latest data released by Good Data Corporation, a company that administers the research and ranking of television shows based on online buzz, reveal that the cable drama came in first place for the week ending September 24 and already held the top spot third week in a row. This result is based on the study conducted from September 18 to 24 by analyzing netizen responses through online news, blogs, communities, videos, and social media posts.

The sequel to last year’s sleeper hit Age of Youth recorded 10.7 % of the total buzz and beat 36 dramas from other networks, including SBS’s newest rom-com Temperature of Love which occupied the second place with 9.92%. Save Me, which ended last night with an impressive viewership rating of 4.7 %, made it to the top three with 7.46%, a number just a little higher than fourth placer While You Were Sleeping‘s 7.44%. Rounding out the top 10 are The King LovesLive Up To Your Name, Hospital Ship, Sister Is Alive, Andante, and My Golden Life.

The coming-of-age cable drama, which centers around five women in their 20s who live together in one house, premiered on August 25 and has since then topped the ranking of most buzzworthy series except for its second week when it lost to MBC’s Hospital Ship. In terms of TV ratings, it already surpassed the success of the first season. The latest episode of the drama recorded 3.145 % in nationwide viewership ratings, making its average rating so far equal to 2.564 %. This number may pale in comparison with the records achieved by the drama’s predecessors —Woman of Dignity, Man to Man, and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon — but it is still good enough by cable TV standards and brings about another hit drama for JTBC this year.

Age of Youth 2 airs every Friday and Saturday at 11 pm Korean Standard Time. It still has four episodes left to be broadcast before The Package takes over the time slot on October 13.

About me? Just an ordinary lad with an extraordinary (according to stereotypes) habit of watching Korean dramas. It started with City Hunter and the rest, as they say, is history.
