5 highest-rated Wed-Thu dramas in 2016

SBS ruled the Mon-Tue time slot with Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim on top of the list. Although it has three of its six Wed-Thu dramas on the Wed-Thu ranking, Descendants of the Sun is unbeatable so it is KBS this time that holds the highest record.

17 dramas aired on Wednesdays and Thursdays last year. Then why does the Mon-Tue schedule has only 12? One reason for that difference is the 50-episode Monster that aired for almost 6 months, an amount of time that can accommodate three 16-episode dramas. Another is the fact that majority of the Wed-Thu dramas have only 16 episodes. Of the 17 dramas, only 5 broke through 10% in average ratings and each of them is also included on the list of the highest-rated FTA dramas in 2016.

All Wed-Thu dramas have a combined average ratings of 9.77%, which is slightly lower than Mon-Tue dramas’ 10.25%.

Me? Just an ordinary lad with an extraordinary (says this something called 'stereotype') habit of watching Korean dramas. It started with action-filled City Hunter and the rest, as they say, is history.
