‘Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter’ releases two posters

tvN’s upcoming drama Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter (previously known as Gyeryong Fairy Tale) has released two posters featuring its leads Moon Chae-won (Criminal Mindsand Yoon Hyun-min (Witch’s Court) along with major supporting actors Seo Ji-hoon (My First Love) and gugudan’s Mina (20th Century Boy and Girl).

Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter is an adaptation of a popular webtoon of the same name about a 699-year old fairy named Sun Ock-nam (played by Moon Chae-won) who has been waiting for his husband while disguising in the modern world as a barista. Sun Ock-nam married a man during the Goryeo dynasty and suffered a major loss when he died. Since then, she’s lived through a couple of dynasties while waiting for her reincarnated husband to come back. At present, she manages a strange coffee shop where he meets two men, Yoon Hyun-min and Seo Ji-hoon, one of whom could be the reincarnated version of his late husband. She and his late husband have a daughter named Jum Soon, played by Mina, who has been reincarnated as a tiger in her new life but has managed to become a human through the help of his mother.

The poster above shows the four major characters in a photo with a family portrait concept, taken at a vintage photo studio. The poster below, meanwhile, is a similar photo that reveals the mysterious and true identities of Moon Chae-won’s and Mina’s characters who are now represented by an old woman (played by Go Doo-shim) and a tiger, respectively. The caption on both posters reads: “Who is my husband, the woodcutter who went missing 699 years ago?” The caption raises curiosity regarding whether Yoon Hyun-min’s or Seo Ji-hoon’s character is the real husband.

Me? Just an ordinary lad with an extraordinary (says this something called 'stereotype') habit of watching Korean dramas. It started with action-filled City Hunter and the rest, as they say, is history.
